Fire Hydrant Maintenance – Starting August 9, 2021
The Town of Aylmer will begin it’s annual hydrant maintenance program on Monday, August 9. This requires flushing all hydrants in the distribution system. As a result of this activity, some areas of town may experience discoloured water or low water pressure. If discoloured water appears in your system, run the cold water tap until it clears. If you see water staff in your neighbourhood, please be aware that discoloured water and low pressure conditions could occur. Check your water before doing any laundry. Staff will be flushing hydrants in the west-southwest part of the town and continue in an easterly direction.
