The Aylmer Library is a branch of the Elgin County Library system and is located in one of Aylmer’s Oldest Buildings – the Old Town Hall, located at 38 John Street South! Read up on the history of the Old Town Hall.
Aylmer Old Town Hall Library offers patrons printed materials like books, magazines and newspapers, as well as a limited selection of low-german materials. However, there are many other options to explore. Consider borrowing an audio book you can listen to on the go or electronic books for downloading onto portable devices – take the library with you! Perhaps you wish to expand your horizons by using online databases for research, or by borrowing a music CD or movie DVD? Explore local history using microfilm equipment or come play in Aylmer’s Maker Space with the 3D printer or with a selection of game kits – the options for entertainment and education are endless. In addition to borrowing materials, Aylmer Library offers community programs to help nurture the love of reading from infancy to adulthood. Find out more about these exciting programs by visiting their website.
