Elgincentives Grant Program Now Open Until November 20, 2026
The newly updatedd Elgincentives Grant Program is now open until November 20!
Elgincentives is Elgin County’s county-wide Community Improvement Plan (CIP). This Plan supports community improvement projects and economic development across the County’s seven local municipalities by offering financial incentives that encourage business investment, property improvements, housing creation, downtown revitalization, and the redevelopment of vacant or underused sites.
Elgincentives is guided by a County wide vision and accompanying Community Improvement Goals that reflect Elgin County’s long-term economic development, land use, and community-building priorities. These goals also form the strategic intent of the CIP and are used to evaluate funding applications.
Funding is available through eight streams, including:
• Façade, signage, and property improvements
• Building improvements, conversions, and expansions
• Brownfield remediation projects
• Building efficiency and sustainability projects
• Industrial stimulus projects
• Affordable rental housing projects
• Agri-tourism and rural diversification projects
• Additional dwelling units (ADUs)

Before applying, a mandatory pre-consultation meeting with Elgin County Economic Development staff is required.
