Elk Street Reconstruction Update: May 1, 2025
Location: Elk Street
Work Completed to Date:
- Sanitary sewers have been installed between Talbot Street and the outlet point of 201 Elk Street.
- Storm sewer work has commenced between Talbot Street and the outlet point of 201 Elk Street.
Work Scheduled for Next Week:
- Storm sewer installation and the commencement of watermain installation.
Road Closures and Access:
- Elk Street will be closed to through traffic during construction, but open to local traffic.
- Local residents should access Elk Street from the west end, Victoria Street or John Street.
- Driveway access may be interrupted periodically during construction. Notification will be provided in advance of a driveway access disruption.
Construction Safety:
- Please respect the work zone.
- Use caution when using the street or sidewalks near construction limits.
- Maintain a safe distance from any moving equipment, stockpiles or trenches.
