January is Crime Stoppers Awareness Month. We all have a role to play in crime prevention and it’s important to report a crime when you see it. Your information can help police identify crime patterns in our communities. Anyone with information on a crime is encouraged to contact @St. Thomas-Elgin Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS or submit a tip online: https://stthomascrimestoppers.ca/


The Crime Stoppers flag will be raised at Aylmer Townhall from January 9th to February 9th.

PROCLAMATION

CRIME STOPPERS AWARENESS MONTH

TOWN OF AYLMER

WHEREAS, Crime Stoppers month promotes awareness through education campaigns, activities and events held across the greater Aylmer area and it also offers the community the opportunity to partner in solving crime in our area; and

WHEREAS, Crime Stoppers encourages everyone to See Something, Hear Something, Say Something to assist law enforcement; and

WHEREAS, Increased awareness and understanding of the Crime Stoppers program will promote the use of the 24-hour reporting services to reduce and solve crime; and

WHEREAS, St. Thomas-Elgin Crime Stoppers actively works with members of the community, the media and the police as a community safety service partner;

NOW THEREFORE, I, Mayor Jack Couckuyt, on behalf of the Town of Aylmer Council, do hereby proclaim January 2023, as “Crime Stoppers Awareness Month” in the Town of Aylmer.
