Public Notice: Amendments to the Procedural By-Law for Council Meetings

At its June 19th, 2024 meeting, the Council of the Town of Aylmer will consider By-Law 47-24 to Amend the Town’s Procedural By-Law. The agenda for the meeting will be posed Thursday June 13th by 2:00 p.m. on aylmer.ca Key changes in the amendments include:

  • Exclusions for delegation topics
  • Prohibiting members from debating with deputations
  • Allowing members to pose questions for clarification following the deputation
  • Rules for respectful and pertinent speech during deputations
