Public Notice Amendments to the Procedural By-Law for Council Meetings

At its August 9th, 2023 Council meeting, the Council of the Town of Aylmer will consider By-law 49-23 to Amend the Town’s Procedural By-Law. The agenda for the meeting will be posted September 3rd by 2:00pm on Aylmer.ca. Key changes in the amendments include:

  • Electronic participation update to allow for electronic participation outside of an emergency
  • Updates to reconsideration procedures
  • Updates to declaration of pecuniary interest procedures to ensure declarants vacate Council Chambers during related items
  • Updates to procedures respecting suspension and amendment to the rules of order
  • Expansion of consent agenda
