Mainstreet Aylmer Business Improvement Area (BIA)
Purpose and Function
According to Section 4 of the Municipal Act, a local municipality may designate an area as an improvement area and may establish a board of management to oversee the improvement, beautification and maintenance of municipally-owned land, buildings and structures in the area beyond that provided at the expense of the municipality generally, and to promote the areas as a business or shopping area.
Current BIA Board Members
The BIA consists of seven members appointed by Council, two of whom shall be members of the Council, and the remaining members shall be persons qualified to be elected as members. The current members are:

Meeting Schedule
The BIA meets the third Thursday of every month at 8:00 a.m. Meetings are held in the Town Council Chambers at 25 Centre Street, Aylmer, ON.
