Located in downtown Aylmer, Ontario, Old Town Hall provides a unique historical backdrop to your event. Originally built in the late 1800s, this building has served many municipal purposes and also functioned as an opera house. Today, the first floor of Old Town Hall serves as our local library branch. The second floor remains a theatre with floor and balcony seating. Cushioned chairs are provided in theatre-style set up or as table and chair set up. We offer rental of amenities including piano, light/sound equipment, beverage bar, projection screen, and podiums. Dressing rooms, kitchen, and elevator are also available. This intimate venue is sure to wow your audience with its iconic Union Jack.

- Day Rate (over 5 hours): $200.00
- Multiple Day Use (Consecutive) 2 days: $375.00
- Multiple Day Use (Consecutive) 3 days: $475.00
- Multiple Day Use (Consecutive) 4 days or more: $150.00/day
- Piano Rental (Flat Rate): $50.00
- Light/Sound Equipment: $50.00 per day to a maximum of $100.00 for consecutive day rentals
- Set up and Take Down: $35.00
- SOCAN (if applicable): In accordance with the current SOCAN Tariff Licence Fee Schedule
Facility Rental Insurance
Renters may access insurance coverage under the municipally sponsored low-risk event liability program, which provides basic liability coverage for eligible events held at municipal facilities. However, renters must meet all insurer requirements and are responsible for any applicable deposit or deductible. This coverage does not extend to performers, vendors, or participants, for whom separate insurance must be obtained. The Town reserves the right to require additional types or amounts of insurance based on the nature of the event. Failure to meet these insurance conditions shall be considered a breach of this agreement.
Exclusions to the Municipally Sponsored Insurance Program include, but may not be limited to: Contact sports (including hockey, lacrosse, martial arts), cycling, fireworks, gymnastics, motor vehicle activities, training camps, athletic schools, festivals, fairs, deep frying at concessions/kiosks/vendors, professional performers or members of the Actors Guild, swimming, corporations, and any organized sports teams/leagues/tournaments.

Getting Married at Old Town Hall
Old Town Hall is available for a variety of event rentals including wedding ceremonies. Town of Aylmer staff also provide Civil Ceremony Services for interested couples.

Event Rental Cancellation Policy
Should the renter wish to cancel their booking, they must complete the Notice of Cancellation two weeks prior to the event. An administration fee is required.
