South Street Reconstruction – Construction Update #1
Road Closures and Access:
- South Street – From Queen Street to Victoria Street will be closed to through traffic during construction, but open to local traffic.
- Victoria Street – From Elk Street to South Street will be closed to through traffic during construction, but open to local traffic.
- Driveway access may be interrupted periodically during construction. Notification will be provided in advance of a driveway access disruption.
Work Completed to Date:
- Asphalt pulverization, curb and sidewalk removals commenced at South Street and Victoria Street.
- Temporary waterline installation on South Street.
- Commenced installation of new watermain at Victoria Street.
- Commenced installation sanitary line on Victoria Street.
- Commenced installation of new watermain along South Street.
Work Scheduled Over Next Few Weeks:
- Watermain installation along South Street.
- Sanitary Line installation along South Street.
- Storm Line installation along South Street.
- Continuing with Curb and Sidewalk removals.
