South Street Reconstruction – Construction Update #2
Road Closures and Access:
- South Street – From Queen Street to Victoria Street will be closed to through traffic during construction, but open to local traffic.
- Victoria Street – From Elk Street to South Street will be closed to through traffic during construction, but open to local traffic.
- Driveway access may be interrupted periodically during construction. Notification will be provided in advance of a driveway access disruption.
Work Complete to Date:
- New Watermain, Sanitary and Storm Lines at Victoria Street are complete
- New sanitary line on South Street is complete
- Continue with installation of new watermain and storm line along South Street
Works Scheduled Over Next Few Weeks:
- Commissioning of new Watermain Installation along South Street
- Complete installation of Storm Line along South Street
- Upon underground infrastructure completion, road base will be constructed
- Curb and sidewalk installation

- Please use caution when using the street or sidewalks near the construction limits.
- Maintain a safe distance from any moving equipment, stockpiles or trenches.
